Marin SBDC Kicks Off Fall 2018 With Workshops That Provide Marin County Business Owners Tools and Strategies for Growth
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (PRWEB) August 23, 2018 -- The Marin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has announced a series of low-cost business workshops that give local entrepreneurs the knowledge and tools they need to build their businesses. Led by leading industry professionals with clear, hands-on teaching methodologies, these workshops will dive deep into topics like business planning, setting up a web store, leveraging Google to drive online leads, sales techniques that work, the ins and outs of Facebook advertising, growing a catering business, SEO, and a comprehensive 10-session series delivered in Spanish on building a business.
"These workshops are invaluable to Marin County business owners," said Ann Grace, MBA, principal consultant at Clear Lake Marketing Solutions and guest lecturer for two of the upcoming SBDC workshops. "They provide both high-level training," continued Ms. Grace, "as in the case of the business planning and crowdfunding workshops, and hands-on, step-by-step instruction about how to take one's business to the next level. College credit classes can be time-consuming, and these workshops are a terrific way for business owners to build their skills in a short burst. Moreover, they are affordably priced and offered at convenient times."
Miriam Hope Karell, Director of the Marin SBDC, has a mission. She leads a team of 15 professionals who provide free business advising to Marin business owners to keep them growing at the pace they want. “Miriam is one of the hardest working people I know,” said workshop lecturer Ann Grace. “I’ve never met anyone more dedicated to her cause. The quality of consultants she makes available to Marin County businesses is phenomenal. Companies that receive business coaching from one of her trusted advisors walk away feeling empowered and better equipped to navigate the challenges in front of them.”
The Marin SBDC works with all industries and all business types from start-ups to decades-old established companies. If your company can benefit from free business advising, the SBDC encourages you to start your application here: https://nc.ecenterdirect.com/signup.
