How can a sinner understand the gift of the Savior, if he has no idea why he so desperately needs that Savior?

Author Matthew Scott Senge, whose 2012 book “The Word…: Today’s Church seems to be ignoring” (published by WestBow Press) is getting a new marketing push. Without a doubt, Senge is upfront, saying: “This isn't a comfortable, feel good message.”

“This book was created with the intent to grab and wake you from the message of the modern-day church that preaches ‘God has a wonderful plan for your life’ or a ‘lifestyle-enhancement Gospel,’’’ Senge says. “Imagine hearing these words from our Holy Creator on Judgment Day: ‘Depart from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you.’ What would you do if that happened?” Senge knows his book may not find a ready audience, but “that's the whole idea; it's something people so desperately need, but they choose not to hear it.”

About the Author
Matthew Scott Senge has had a lot of titles in his life – dad, car salesman, police officer, liar, con-man, and the latest most profound – convicted felon. He says most profound because that title saved his life but killed who he was when he became a born-again Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. When the world said the only place for him was prison – God looked down and said “I WANT THAT MAN.” Now, he is on a mission, Reaching the LOST, One soul at a time!
