Maui Wowi to be a vendor at Minnesota High School League Tournaments.

It’s pretty awesome to hear people say things like, ‘I have to get a Maui Wowi; it’s my favorite thing! I get one every time we go to State.'

Greenwood Village, CO (PRWEB) February 21, 2014

The Maui Wowi tradition returns to delight fans at Minnesota’s High School hockey and wrestling tournaments. Local Maui Wowi Franchisee and Area Developer, Mary Bigler, has kicked off the season this week with MSHSL Girls Hockey, held at the Xcel Energy Center through Saturday, February 20, 2014.

The four day event is the first in a series of youth sports tournaments at which Bigler says her Maui Wowi business has gained a strong fan following. The games continue into March with MSHSL Wrestling and Boys Swim and Dive February 27-March 1. The biggest tournament of them all is reserved for March 5-8 when the MSHSL Boys Hockey takes to the ice. Bigler says she’ll be at every one of them.

“It’s exciting to be a part of these games. Nothing can compare to the delight of serving these kids as they pour into the stadiums to cheer on their teams,” says Bigler.

Maui Wowi, which is a smoothie staple in Minnesota, has become a ritual to fans as they gear up for tournament season at University of Minneosta or the Xcel Energy Center.

“The word ‘Tradition’ comes to mind,” says Bigler. “It’s pretty awesome to hear people say things like, ‘I have to get a Maui Wowi; it’s my favorite thing! I get one every time we go to State.’”

Three of the top flavor favorites amongst attendees are Strawberry, Mango Orange, and Pina Colada, all of which are made with a fresh banana. Served fresh and available at the Maui Wowi tiki hut carts inside the stadium, for many it is the first stop before the games begin.

Bigler, who also owns a Maui Wowi retail location and works other events throughout the year, including Minnesota Wild hockey games, predicts these three weeks are going to busy. “Within these 3 tournament weeks, we project we will go through about 160 cases of bananas and at least 6,000 tiki cups are estimated to be sold,” she says.
