Maye Musk to Speak at this Year’s Siebens-Binz - SNC Tahoe Forum

Every two years, Sierra Nevada College hosts the Siebens Binz – SNC Tahoe Forum. This year, on October 5th, 2019, the guest speaker will be Maye Musk. An internationally recognized model for over 50 years, Musk continues to work in her industry. Soon after turning 68 years old Musk was signed to IMG Models in May 2016. Musk’s career as a model began when she was 15 years old, living in South Africa, and it still thrives today. Her diverse and ever-expanding portfolio includes major luxury campaigns for Swarovski Lord & Taylor, Moncler, music videos such as Beyonce’s “Haunted” in 2013, commercials, and billboards in Times Square for Target and Virgin America.
Besides her work as a model and dietician, Ms. Musk also serves as an ambassador for two non-profits that fit into her careers. The first is Big Green, a company building vegetable and fruit gardens in underserved schools. The second is Dress for Success, whose mission is to empower women through a network of support, professional attire and the development tools needed to succeed.
Established in 2004 through a $1-million endowment, the Siebens Binz – SNC Tahoe Forum provides the community of Incline Village, Nevada with access to unique worldviews and issues by bringing renowned business and cultural leaders and thinkers to Sierra Nevada College at Lake Tahoe (SNC Tahoe). Past speakers have included Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Madame Jehan Sadat, CEO Steven Forbes, President Gerald R. Ford, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, renowned water advocate Alexandra Cousteau and international author Isabel Allende.
