MCI USA Signs Strategic Event Management Partnership with NCIA
PLANO, Texas (PRWEB) March 19, 2019 -- MCI USA has entered into a new strategic event management partnership with the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA). Through its Plano, TX-based Strategic Events, Meetings & Incentives division, MCI USA will manage NCIA’s tradeshow portfolio to free up the association’s internal resources to focus on industry advocacy, membership engagement, and content curation. NCIA’s trade shows are widely considered the best truly business-focused events in the growing cannabis industry and currently include the Cannabis Business Summit & Expo, the California Cannabis Business Conference and the Seed to Sale Show. MCI is working with NCIA to launch into additional markets in 2020.
NCIA selected MCI USA to provide its event execution expertise based on the company’s record of improving and expanding event portfolios and maintaining healthy profits for associations and corporations. While MCI is ensuring a streamlined experience for all parties involved and growing the events year over year, NCIA will enjoy reduced risk and financial success while focusing on what they do best – serving the needs of the cannabis industry.
“NCIA looks forward to a long-term partnership with MCI USA,” said Aaron Smith, Executive Director, NCIA. “While our team is passionately fighting to end prohibition on Capitol Hill and throughout the country, we rely on a world-class organization like MCI to efficiently and effectively direct event operations and management strategies.”
“MCI USA is excited to partner with NCIA and this emerging marketplace,” said Shawn Pierce, President, SEM&I, MCI USA. “We will leverage our experienced operations team, best-in-class technology, SponEx sales and proven marketing tactics to help NCIA’s events grow so they can focus on the members and mission of the association.”
Event portfolios are a critical revenue driver for associations and other organizations. This new partnership allows MCI USA to deliver cost-effective event execution, leveraging its industry-leading event management expertise and global buying power to drive NCIA’s event success and growth.
MCI’s partnership with NCIA involves a $7M event portfolio serving 16,000+ attendees annually and more than 500 exhibitors.
