NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- McKnight's is pleased to announce the winners of its 2018 McKnight's Technology Awards contest.
"This year's entries set new standards for innovation in a sector that has traditionally been known more for high touch than high tech," said John O'Connor, Editorial Director for McKnights. STANLEY Healthcare was this year's Platinum Sponsor.
"We applaud all the organizations who submitted entries to this year's McKnight's awards," said Greg Borecki, Vice President of Sales for STANLEY Healthcare. "Innovative use of technology is no longer a choice in today's highly competitive senior living industry, but a necessity. The amazing work of these communities points the way forward not only for other care providers, but even for technology vendors like us who seek to empower caregivers through the effective use of technology."
This year's program attracted unprecedented sector interest, generating more than 300 entries. The 2018 contest featured separate tracks for skilled care and senior living operators. In addition, each track offered 10 categories to compete in. Winning entries described the technology involved, how it was used – and most importantly, the benefits that resulted.
