McLoughlin Auto Mall Donates Car, Local Woman Visits Special Needs Daughter
Milwaukie, OR (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- A Portland-area woman desperate for a car to visit her special-needs daughter had her prayers answered by a Milwaukie car dealership.
McLoughlin Auto Mall’s General Manager, Joe Khorasani, contacted Colette Black after seeing, through her GoFundMe account, that the car she had bought on Craigslist, after saving up $1,000, broke down on her way to visit her 9-year-old daughter with special needs.
“She told me her story over the phone, but I wanted to meet her,” said Khorasani. “So I had her picked up and brought to the dealership and we spent over an hour talking about what she's been through.”
Black lost two children, Tyler and Ausha, to medical illness, and her daughter, Shawnnessy, lives four hours away in Bend, with her father. Black was stunned by Khorasani’s generosity.
“It's amazing,” said Black. “It's more than I could have ever imagined, more than I could have ever thought, so I'm very happy about that.”
