Mecklenburg County Invites The Local Business Community To The Launch Of The 2019 Disparity Study
The Mecklenburg County Business Community is invited join Griffin & Strong P.C. for Informational Meetings about the New 2019 Disparity Study. Attendees can learn about the Study, ask questions, and learn how they can participate.
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In an effort to aid local commerce and to promote economic development and job creation, Mecklenburg County has commissioned a disparity study to evaluate equal opportunity and fairness in its procurement and contracting process.
The County has partnered with Griffin & Strong, P.C. (GSPC), a law and public policy consulting firm, to complete this study. The study will gather information necessary to determine whether all qualified firms have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in Mecklenburg County's procurement of prime contracts and associated subcontracts. If indicated by the evidence, the study will support the implementation of strategies to ensure such opportunity.
Griffin & Strong, P.C. will kick off the study with two (2) public informational meetings on November 12th & 13th, 2019. These meetings will provide the community the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the study process, and discuss how they can participate. The meeting details are as follows:
