AACP Invites Dr. Ronald Auvenshine to Speak at the Craniofacial Pain Mini-Residency Program
(PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- MedCenter TMJ is pleased to announce that Dr. Ronald C. Auvenshine will be participating in the first session of the AACP Institute’s Craniofacial Pain Mini-Residency Program. The three-day mini-residency program will be focused on addressing craniofacial pain disorders, history, examination, diagnosis and treatment planning. During those three days Dr. Auvenshine and fellow experts in the field will be leading participants in lectures, hands-on workshops, case reviews and case studies.
Dr. Auvenshine, a distinguished faculty member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, will be teaching the following six sessions during the first session of the program:
• Differential Diagnosis
• Craniofacial & Neuropathic Pain Syndromes
• Treatment Planning
• Range of Motion Evaluation, Cranial Nerve Evaluation, Otologic Evaluation Workshop
• Comprehensive History
• Muscle Identification & Palpation Workshop
The program provides dentistry practitioners with a wealth of knowledge that allows them to expand their practice and provide patients with much needed relief from craniofacial pain disorders. Participants can also earn approximately 22 continuing education hours during the first session, and successfully completing the optional end-of-session exams after each of the four sessions will satisfy the written exam requirements for those wishing to obtain a fellowship with the AACP.
“The mini-residency program is an amazing opportunity for practitioners to gain hands-on training and knowledge that enables them to more accurately diagnose and treat craniofacial pain disorders,” said Dr. Auvenshine. “All the lectures and workshops are evidence-based and endorsed by the AACP, which gives participants assurance that the training they receive is proven and effective.”
Session 1 of the Craniofacial Pain Mini-Residency Program will take place at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center in Fort Worth, TX between September 11-13. Participants can choose to join session 1 as a stand-alone event or complete all four sessions of the 2014-2015 program.
