Eric Haber of the Cooley law firm has recently announced his membership in Mediation.com, one of the nation’s premier mediation networks. Haber brings with him decades of experience and extensive, in depth knowledge relating to all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including dealing with debtors and creditors.

Mr. Haber serves, with distinction, on the panel of mediators in bankruptcy courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and Delaware and has been a pivotal mediator in preference and fraudulent conveyance lawsuits seeking up to $19 million. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Neutrals, the MWI Bankruptcy & Finance Panel and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Cases that Mr. Haber has mediated include, but are not limited to: Ultimate Electronics, Penn Traffic, Greenwich Sentry Partners, Quebecor World (USA), Value City Department Stores, BearingPoint, WP Steel and Delphi Automotive Systems. He has also defended and prosecuted hundreds of avoidance and preference actions in bankruptcy proceedings across the U.S.
Mr. Haber, an AV-Rated attorney by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review, obtained his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Harvard College and his JD from the New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. A strong believer in pro bono work, Mr. Haber was awarded the 2012 Empire State Counsel Award, reflecting over 50 hours of pro bono service and named as one of New York City’s Bankruptcy Assistance Project's In-Court Champions for 2007-2008.
