Third-Generation Attorney and Mediator F. Barron Grier III Announces Membership in Mediation.com
West Columbia, SC (PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- With nearly a century of family tradition and four decades of personal experience behind him, West Columbia attorney and alternate dispute resolution (ADR) professional F. Barron Grier III has announced a renewed focus on his ADR and mediation practices. Towards that end he has joined Mediation.com’s fast-growing network of attorney-mediators.
“My family has practiced law and served the communities in South Carolina for more than a century and now I’m continuing the tradition,” said Grier. “I take my service to South Carolina seriously. I bring with me four decades of experience fighting for justice and reasonable settlements. I want to use that experience to help people get a fair shake without having to pay the price in terms of money and time and stress by having to go to court.”
In addition to his trial and court work in the fields of toxic torts, insurance coverage and professional grievance in the healthcare industry, Grier is a certified mediator and arbitrator in both the South Carolina and Federal courts. His firm practices primarily insurance defense and construction defect, however, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of litigation except domestic, intellectual property, and labor law.
Grier, former president of the South Caroline Defense Trial Attorneys Association, was also president of the American Board of Trial Advocates South Carolina Chapter in 2006. He was awarded the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Exceptional Performance Citation and has received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He was a partner in two previous law firms - Nelson, Mullins, Grier & Scarborough, and Richardson, Plowden, Grier & Howser – until founding his own law firm in 1996.
