My mentor, Melvin Belli, taught me to always defend your clients as if they were family and I’ve carried that philosophy throughout my career, all the way to the founding of my own firm.

With more than thirty-five years of experience defending the rights and interests of people dealing with personal injury and product liability, among other areas of injustice, John Hill has taken his dedication, expertise and skill to the one of the fastest-growing mediation networks in the country, Mediation.com.
“My mentor, Melvin Belli, taught me to always defend your clients as if they were family,” said John. “And I’ve carried that philosophy throughout my career, all the way to the founding of my own firm. People get hurt and they deserve not just a lawyer, but guidance and education that’s in their best interests so they can determine the right course of action. Sometimes that’s litigation – but mediation often works out better for the client.”
John's areas of practice include personal injury law, wrongful death, products liability law, medical malpractice, premises liability, employment litigation, torts, general civil trial practice and commercial litigation. He has a Certificate for completing 42 hours of training in Mediating the Litigated Case offered by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law.
In addition to a consistent AV Rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell, John is certified as a Specialist in the area of Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. A graduate of the University of Chicago, John has also been named a Super Lawyer in Personal Injury in each of the last seven years, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association in 2013.
