Celebrated Intellectual Property Attorney Michael Painter Announces Membership in Mediation.com
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 04, 2014 -- With almost five decades of experience in the fields of business, copyright, and intellectual property law, renowned attorney Michael Painter has established himself as one of the most respected mediators in California. In an effort to be more visible to consumers seeking mediation services in intellectual property matters, he recently announced his membership in Mediation.com
“I’ve always believed that parties involved in intellectual property disputes should try to avoid trial unless that is the last alternative,” said Painter of the move. “In the many years I have been involved in the litigation of intellectual property matters, I have found that in most cases the financial obligations encountered could have been avoided. It is my opinion the mediation process can be highly productive in resolving these types of disputes. That’s the reason why I’ve made this decision, to make it easier for people to engage me as a mediator and save themselves time and money.”
Painter, a graduate of Loyola University School of Law, also holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of the Attorney’s Mediation Panel of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and has been in active practice since 1969 in the fields of business and commercial law, copyright and trademark law, and patent law. He is a member of the International Trademark Association.
Trained at the Ventura Center for Dispute Settlement, Painter gained hands-on dispute resolution experience during his service as Judge Pro Tem on the Los Angeles Municipal Court.
