EarnTheNecklace.com, a revealing and engaging web site with articles written by women who exchange their stories and confessions about being in a relationship with a much older man, weighs in on a recent survey that shows rich men prefer to date women with less money, while rich women, on the other hand, prefer wealthy, stable men.

According to a recent survey, the dating preferences of wealthy men are significantly different than those of rich women. The survey found that more than three-quarters of men (79.6%) who are millionaires prefer to date women who are not as financially well-off. At the other end of the scale, 85% of millionaire women do not want to take care of their partner and would prefer to date another millionaire. “These results confirm a belief that the relationship experts at EarnTheNecklace.com have long held—that wealthy older men have different dating preferences than wealthy older women,” says Riya Beaumont, EarnTheNecklace.com’s content editor. “It also shows why age gap dating makes a lot of sense. When it comes to dating, younger women are more focused on making a connection in their relationships than younger men. Their male peers, on the other hand, tend to be less mature and are more focused with getting ahead in school and their careers. As a result, many younger women end up giving away their youth to boyfriends who plod along and get the benefits of a wife without bearing the obligations of a husband.”

The survey also found that rich women are more careful with their wealth, with 82% of respondents saying they would insist on a prenuptial agreement. Just 17% of male respondents said they would do the same. (Source: Ibid.)

“At the same time, older men tend to become more emotionally mature, have more financial freedom, and have more time to devote to a serious relationship and even fatherhood. On top of that, a financially secure older man can offer long-term stability to a young woman who is tired of a dating scene overrun by self-absorbed, sexually charged younger men,” Beaumont adds. “It makes perfect sense for a younger woman looking to connect in a relationship to do so with an older man who is looking for the same thing.”
