Meridian Collaborates With Industry Partners to Showcase Retail Solutions

Meridian, an industry leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor kiosks, interactive digital signage, and self-service software recently showcased two of their innovative retail solutions at the National Retail Federation’s “Big Show” in New York City.

Meridian, an industry leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor kiosks, interactive digital signage, and self-service software recently showcased two of their innovative retail solutions at the National Retail Federation’s “Big Show” in New York City.

The two solutions, which were created and exhibited in collaboration with Meridian’s industry partner, HP Inc., included an automated smart locker and a touchscreen countertop kiosk.

The show served as the first unveiling of the countertop unit, which is part of Meridian’s 20th anniversary “Evolution” kiosk line. Powered by the HP MP9, the countertop kiosk is a multi-functional self-checkout and endless aisle solution. The self-checkout feature allows shoppers to quickly scan and pay for items in-store, while the endless aisle feature enables shoppers to browse, order, and pay for items online that are not available in-store.

The automated smart locker, on the other hand, is powered by the HP Engage One all-in-one and serves as a simplified way for customers to pick-up orders or drop-off returns by simply scanning a unique QR code.

“Meridian’s self-service retail kiosks are designed to bridge the gap between physical and virtual stores,” said Stephanie Mewherter, Director of Sales and Marketing. “These solutions do exactly that while also simplifying and improving the overall retail experience for shoppers,” she said.

While Meridian exhibited in HP’s booth, they worked with many of their other industry partners to bring their solutions to life, two of which included Elo and Ingenico.

Held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, the “Big Show” is the world’s largest retail conference and expo. This year’s event included more than 38,000 attendees, 800 exhibitors, and 400 speakers. This is the third year that Meridian has exhibited with HP at the event.
