Merit Logistics Hires a New Risk and Safety Manager to Take the Company’s Safety Training to the Next Level

The new safety manager will visit all service locations to establish a consistent training program to ensure greater safety for Merit associates from coast to coast.

Merit Logistics, a national third-party services provider, has hired Belinda G. Ochoa as it’s new Risk and Safety Manager. Mrs. Ochoa has over 25 years of warehouse safety and workers’ comp experience and has been brought on board to develop, establish and maintain a consistent safety program at Merit service locations nationwide.

Working as a consultant for Merit over the past year, Ochoa made major strides in elevating safety awareness and training. As a result, the company’s reportable OSHA injuries dropped by a remarkable 33% in 2018 and those numbers are trending even further in a positive direction so far in 2019. Now, as a full time Risk and Safety Manager, Ochoa is primed to take Merit’s training program to the next level of success.
