Handcrafted Sunflower Pendant by Kim Jakum of Metalmorphis Jewelry Included in The Artisan Group® Collaborative Gift Bag Auctioned to Benefit The Joyful Child Foundation
Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin jewelry designer Kim Jakum, owner of Metalmorphis Jewelry (http://www.metalmorphisjewelry.com), has once again partnered with The Artisan Group®, this time in connection with children’s charity The Joyful Child Foundation.
For this collaboration, Kim donated a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, fine silver “Sunflower Pendant” for inclusion in a specially prepared The Artisan Group® Gift Bag. The gift bag, which was filled with handcrafted goods created by The Artisan Group® members, was part of an auction that took place on October 26 at the Newport Beach, California-based Foundation’s “The Joyful Feast.” The Artisan Group bag raised $2,230.00 for the Foundation. Proceeds from the auction will go to support the Joyful Child’s prevention education and empowerment programs for children and families.
Kim designed the “Sunflower Pendant” as a loose interpretation of the sunflower on the Foundation’s logo. “Sunflowers are adored and known as a joyful flower around the world,” remarked the artist. “I wanted the wearer to have a constant reminder of the Foundation and what it stands for.”
The Joyful Child Foundation is led by Founding Director Erin Runnion. It was established in memory of Samantha Runnion and is dedicated to preventing crimes against children through programs that educate, empower and unite families and communities. After the Joyful Feast, she wrote Kim to say, “Your silver necklace of the logo is truly gorgeous. The winner gave it to me. It is a very special piece…”

“As a mother of three and a grandmother to three, I very much appreciate the proactive approach The Joyful Child is taking to help keep children safe,” said Kim. “I was really happy to be able to contribute to this wonderful cause by donating my “Sunflower Pendant” to the auction.”
