Miami personal injury lawyer Sean M. Cleary on building fires and liability: “Fires sometimes result from erroneous actions of the residents from the building, sometimes are caused by gas explosions, defective smoke alarms, faulty wiring, flammable objects and other defective products.”

Lt. Carroll says that the cause of the fire is still unknown and gender or name of the dead victim is not yet available.

“Fire is known to cause severe, permanent injuries and wrongful death. The injuries caused by fire are known to be the most complex to treat. Victims should know that they have rights and if the fire was caused by another party’s negligence they can seek compensation. Physical and emotional suffering caused by a fire injury cannot be reversed, however financial compensation can help with the long-term medical expenses, loss of wages and reduction in lifestyle.” – Attorney Sean M.
