(PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Michael Sargent Martin’s father, Harold Martin, survived service in the Eighth Air Force during World War II- a significant feat given the injured numbered more than 47,000 with roughly 10,000 deaths for their numbered air force alone. Michael Martin’s new book, “Steel Fortress: The Memoir of an American Airman in Europe, 1944” (published by Abbott Press), tells Tech. Sgt. Harold Martin’s story as a top turret gunner on a B-17.
