Crain’s’ Detroit Business worked with the industry publication Best Lawyers to identify who should receive this award. Attorney and Partner Jerry Acker, a Michigan native, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1977 and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1981. Ten years after practicing as an associate in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm and practicing as a solo practitioner, Acker decided to join forces with Goodman and start their own personal injury practice, Goodman Acker P.C.
