An excerpt from “The Allegorical Manifold”:

“The question of well-being within the concrete vs. the abstract brings up life-threatening questions, staidly unsmiling questions, questionable questions. For, to pronounce that a work of art is a well-being is to pronounce nothing. Crowned by a subjectivism, as the question of the crossing point of communication is of a subjectivist character, a work of art is crowned when the ego of its ‘hailstoney’ hailer is crowned by it.”
