Milestone Builds Record Number of New Towers in First Half of 2014
Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) July 25, 2014 -- Wireless tower owner and developer, Milestone Communications, reported that 2014 has been its most active year yet in wireless infrastructure development. The firm built and placed into service nine new towers in the first half of the year. Landowners will receive an estimated $120,000 in the first year from carrier leases on the new towers.
In Maryland, Milestone launched towers at:
• Wicomico County’s Bennett High School
• Anne Arundel County’s Broadneck High School
• Prince George’s County Oxen Hill Volunteer Fire Department
• Frederick County’s Tuscarora High School
In Virginia, Milestone launched towers at these locations:
• Perrymont Park in Lynchburg
• Lakeside Drive Fire Station in Lynchburg
• Fairfax County’s Graham Road Elementary School
• Fairfax County’s Lake Braddock High School
• Fairfax County’s Stone Middle School
The towers, initially leasing to a single carrier, have capacity for equipment from multiple carriers, with potential to double or triple annual lease revenues.
Milestone provides a full service, turn-key operation that incorporates leasing, zoning, compliance, development funding, construction and site maintenance – all executed in a thoughtful and speedy manner. The company has more than a decade of experience working with government landowners and the communities they serve to provide carriers a predictable, efficient path to infrastructure expansion.
“Milestone’s approach of absorbing the initial capital investment and engaging with each local community transparently enables us to build infrastructure reliably and efficiently,” said Len Forkas, Milestone CEO. “We strive to work with carriers and the communities we serve to provide wireless solutions that meet demand in a timely manner.”
