MilitaryRecordsLookup.com To Start Including Reserve Records In Their Reports
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- MilitaryRecordsLookup.com is launching a major expansion of their database to include records from military reserve units, the company said yesterday.
“Initially we only provided records from active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine service members,” a MilitaryRecordsLookup.com spokesman said. “But we've gotten quite a few requests for information about service in reserve units. Though that data was harder to get a hold of, we have managed to do so. As part of that, we had to expand our database capacity, but decided it was worth it.”
Over the past decade, military reserve records become more dynamic because many of the units were called up for combat roles, he said.
“Before the most recent wars, members of the reserves were mostly used by states for crowd control and other local reasons,” he said. “But that changed with the Second Gulf War when they were needed to serve overseas. Therefore, people now have the same interest in them as they do the regular armed forces.”
MilitaryRecordsLookup.com will have the same information about members of the reserves as they currently do the active duty forces, he said.
“We can provide you with service time, rank, medals, combat experience, the works,” he said. “At this point in history people have the right to know if a member of the reserves has served as a true American hero.”
It took roughly three weeks to update the new data, he said.
