MilitaryRecords.us.org Announces Site Re-Launch
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- MilitaryRecords.us.org is back online after IT staffers repaired technical problems that led to extended downtime, the company announced yesterday.
“We realized a couple of months ago that some problems with our code were causing glitches for some users,” a MilitaryRecords.us.org spokesman said. “So rather than cause or contribute to user frustration, we thought it would be best if we brought the site down while fixing it. The problems are gone now, and we are up and running again.”
The glitches were causing some pages to hang before users could complete their search for military records, he said. In other cases, they were making it take a long time to compile reports, causing some users to click away from the page before they got their background results, he said.
“Our IT staff had to go through all of our code line by line to identify the problems,” he said. “It was a very labor-intensive task, but it was worth it to us. Our feeling is that we shouldn't be online if the user experience isn't perfect. Therefore, even though the glitches did not affect the vast majority of users, we fixed them anyway.”
MilitaryRecords.us.org has beta-tested the new code and found it to be glitch-free, he said.
“We tried it out in every real-world situation we could think of, and it works seamlessly,” he said. “We hope that users who had problems will come back to try our service again, and that new users are happy with their first experience with us.”
