MilitaryRecords.us.org To Include Information About Reserve Units In Their Reports
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2014 -- MilitaryRecords.us.org is expanding their public military records reports to include information about service in reserve units, the company announced yesterday.
“At the time of our launch, service in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines seemed like the most pressing information to make available to consumers,” a MilitaryRecords.us.org spokesman said. “But over time we've gotten multiple requests for information about people who serve or have served in reserve units. So, we decided that it would behoove us to include that data in our reports.”
Reserve status is important to many people, he said, because unlike in the past, during the most recent two conflicts many units were called up to serve in combat roles in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“If we are only including active duty information, that excludes a ton of people who fought for their country overseas,” he said. “Those people are heroes just like people in the regular armed forces. Their accomplishments should not be forgotten.”
The information about reserve status will cover the same topics as active duty reports, including rank, time served, combat experience, medals received and discharge status, he said.
“The goal here is to give people as complete a picture as we can of the person they are doing a military background check on,” he said. “The more information people have about someone, the easier it is for them to decide if they want them to be a part of their lives.”
