Teen Heartthrobs Mindless Behavior and Jacob Latimore Confirm Thanksgiving Weekend Event to Benefit Non Profit K.I.T.E.
Detroit, MI (PRWEB) September 18, 2013 -- Teen girls in Michigan are going mindless and giving thanks this Thanksgiving now that Roc Royal, Ray Ray, Prodigy, Princeton – who make up Mindless Behavior - have confirmed their hosting of Non Profit K.I.TE. Inc. and Kenedi Treasure’s VIP Mindless Holiday on November 30, 2013. The fete is set for 6p.m. at Skate World of Troy on 2825 Maple Road with tickets to go on sale at [http://www.welovemindless.com as of September 21, 2014.
As if that didn’t prompt enough squeals and utters of OMG, event producers Kenedi and Treasure Bishop, known in Atlanta for their cosmetic line and celebrity teen parties, revealed that the evening’s special guest will be Jacob Latimore. Co-producers for the event include Reignfall Media Group.
“My sister and I wanted to do a event but with it being so near the holiday we thought about having something around Thanksgiving and also offering a discounted ticket to those who bring toys that we can hand out through K.I.T.E (Konnecting the Incarcerated Through Excellence),” explained 17 year-old Treasure. “K.I.T.E is the main beneficiary of our events because our family knows first-hand what it is like to have one parent in jail. Despite being in jail, parents still can be a positive voice to their kids and with K.I.T.E, when their kids come to visit them for the holidays, they will have something to put in their hand. That makes a huge difference in the lives of the kids. So yes, we want people to come out and have fun but we also want them to remember the importance of helping those who need help. We are our brothers and sisters’ keeper. That falls in line with our mission that mission to provide mentoring and support to children, younger than 18 years of age who live in urban, under represented areas and have at least one incarcerated parent.”
“We are very excited to come back home, enjoy some time with old family and friends, have a good Thanksgiving dinner and of course get into putting a smile on the face of those who are less fortunate,” added Kenedi, 16. “We are so ready to turn up. Mindless Behavior is hot. Jacob Latimore is hot. DJ Key is hot. And despite the cool air, we’re making it hot with a couple of celebrity guests who are coming through the place.”
The quartet known as Mindless burst onto the music scene back in 2008 with hits such as My Girl and have sealed their spot as the ‘it’ R&B boy band of their generation. Touring with the likes of the Backstreet Boys and Justin Bieber plus being sole opening act for Janet Jackson's 2011 tour further confirms the young hitmakers’ place in music, further recognized when they won the BET Awards Coca Cola's Viewer's Choice Award.
Meanwhile, Latimore has several hits under his belt but has shifted into acting. Previews for his upcoming film Black Nativity already have critics hailing him as a true crossover talent playing alongside Hollywood heavyweights Jenifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Forrest Whittaker, Mary J.Blige, Tyrese Gibson and Nasir Jones.
