Enterprises are increasingly considering Windows® Defender as a way of protecting endpoints from non-evasive threats, but they struggle with managing this software centrally

Minerva Labs, a provider of advanced endpoint threat prevention platform, expanded its platform to offer increased visibility and protection. Minerva’s Endpoint Threat Prevention Platform 3.0 includes the ability to make critical assets become invisible and unreachable for malware and adversaries. in addition, the new version enables capture endpoint activities for investigations and threat hunting. The new version also offers seamless integration with baseline antimalware tools, such as Microsoft® Windows® Defender, so customers can use the Minerva Management Console to centrally orchestrate multiple security layers.
“Our customers want a unified view of anti-malware measures on the endpoint,” explained Eddy Bobritsky, Co-Founder and CEO of Minerva. “Enterprises are concerned that their existing defenses are ineffective at protecting the organization’s 'crown jewels,' which adversaries can access after compromising endpoints. Minerva’s latest release helps conceal such critical data to protect it from advanced threats while maintaining a low footprint on the endpoint. In addition, the Minerva Management Console now not only notifies the organization about the advanced threats prevented by our platform, but also monitors the state of third-party antivirus tools on the endpoint.”
Enterprises are increasingly considering Windows® Defender as a way of protecting endpoints from non-evasive threats, but they struggle with managing this software centrally. Now, Minerva customers can use the Minerva Management Console to oversee the state of antivirus and examine the events it generates. This information augments the events that Minerva’s Anti-Evasion Platform generates about the prevented threats that would’ve bypassed Windows® Defender Antivirus and other security measures.
For further visibility, Minerva customers are now able to also capture process activities on endpoints, to gain additional context around prevention events, to investigate incidents, and to engage in threat hunting activities. These capabilities help organizations who cannot justify the cost and expertise needed for complex Enterprise Detection and Response (EDR) deployments.
Today’s flagship release also expands the ability of Minerva’s threat prevention platform to protect against advanced threats that bypass other security measures, offering:
- Expanded protection against common malicious attack chains, such as those that abuse trusted applications to implement living-off-the-land attacks.
- New safeguards against credential harvesting capabilities of malware, mitigating risks of sensitive data theft and lateral movement.
- Unique cloaking of critical local assets from memory scraping attacks (for POS systems) and jackpotting attacks (for ATM devices).
“Minerva’s customers benefit from our patented approach to using deception on the endpoint to prevent advanced attacks, closing the gap inherent to any modern and legacy antivirus solution,” elaborated Bobritsky. “Our latest capabilities go beyond anti-evasion to prevent other forms of attacks and continue delivering upon our commitment to strengthening the organisation’s security ecosystem without costly rollouts or architecture overhauls.”
Minerva Labs – a prevention first company, revolutionize the endpoint security industry by introducing a new, different and more effective approach to stop threats that other tools miss, regardless of time, team’s size, skills or toolset.
In fact, the harder to detect the malware, the easier for Minerva to block it.
Minerva makes your assets became invisible and unreachable for attackers & malware (they cannot attack something they cannot see).
Our evasionproof threat prevention platform addresses all modern threats such as file-less attacks, PowerShell scripts, ransomware, malicious documents, Mimikatz, Cryptominers, etc. without any prerequisites or reboots.
Minerva also offers a unique offering for PoS, ATMs, Gas pumps, OT and Industrial IoT systems , embedded and legacy systems.
Minerva boosts defenses without the need to embark upon a costly and risky overhaul of the entire endpoint security architecture.
