The Professional Protector Plan® for Dentists Continues National Volunteer Efforts at the 3rd Annual New Mexico Mission of Mercy on September 13-14, 2013
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- The dental clinic will be run on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to individuals of all ages, no questions asked. Doors will open to patients at 5:00 a.m. Patients will be greeted by several volunteers who will make sure they are properly registered and will help escort them to each appropriate station. From there, a trained and experienced volunteer dentist will listen to each patient’s concerns, perform a triage exam and determine the best available course of action to follow.
This is the second year that the PPP has been involved in the life changing Mission of Mercy events. “We saw this as an amazing way to give back to the community and to help those individuals who are in need of care. Many of our state administrators have been involved with MOM events and we felt that this was something that we really needed to be a part of,” says Kristin Garrison, National Marketing Manager for the PPP. Many of the PPP members who volunteer their time are traveling from state to state, lending a helping hand. A PPP volunteer’s day begins very early and continues well into the evening with duties such as: patient registration and exit, escorting the patients throughout the facility, looking after small children and comforting those patients who are nervous about receiving care.
In addition to attending the New Mexico Mission of Mercy, the PPP will also be volunteering at MOM events in Iowa, New Orleans, and Arizona.
