Greg Cangialosi Joins MissionTix as New CEO
Baltimore (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- MissionTix, a growing online ticketing platform, today announced that Greg Cangialosi has been named CEO.
MissionTix provides an online ticketing platform and consumer portal for events, concerts, fundraisers and the like. In his new role, Cangialosi plans to inject the brand and platform with new ideas, technology innovation and cutting-edge analytics.
“This is a great opportunity because MissionTix combines three things that I’m passionate about – marketing, technology and live events,” Cangialosi said. “It’s also a unique challenge because MissionTix is 13 years old but we are going back to a start-up mentality.”
Well known in Baltimore technology and start-up circles, Cangialosi founded the email-marketing firm Blue Sky Factory, which was acquired by WhatCounts in 2011. He is a co-founder of Betamore, a start-up technology and entrepreneurship campus in Baltimore. Cangialosi is also a managing member of the Baltimore Angels, a technology investment group.
In the coming months, Cangialosi said that MissionTix will roll out a newly redesigned and re-imagined consumer site for ticket purchasing and account management. Near-term goals include investment in analytics and enhanced marketing capabilities that will make MissionTix more attractive to event promoters nationwide.
Current MissionTix customers and partners include such high profile events as the All Good Festival, Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Hot August Music Festival and the popular Baltimore Food Truck Gathering.
