The 0-5 Performance Blazer is the result of nearly a year of labor to find the best combination of materials and to craft the perfect fit.

Less than four hours after launching on Kickstarter, Mizzen+Main – an innovative men’s lifestyle brand – surpassed its $15,000 fundraising goal for the 0-5 Performance Blazer.
The blazer, engineered from American-made, proprietary performance fabric, is the first of its kind — combining wrinkle-free technology, four-way stretch, and an incredibly light fabric with a superior fit for the modern man.
“It’s been an incredible journey over the last two years to perfect the men’s dress shirt. Our high-tech, moisture-wicking fabric with four-way stretch has changed everything for this classic staple,” said Kevin Lavelle, Mizzen+Main co-founder and CEO. "We’re continuing to bring innovation to an industry that doesn’t see much of it outside of varying color palettes or minor stylistic changes. We don’t care about trends. Starting with classic, timeless style, our use of innovative fabrics will continue to redefine what’s possible. The 0-5 Performance Blazer is the result of nearly a year of labor to find the best combination of materials and to craft the perfect fit.”
The Kickstarter campaign, which launched on February 5, is Mizzen+Main’s next evolution in their “tradition evolved” approach to business. The blazer launch builds on recent momentum from opening their first brick-and-mortar location in December 2013 and holding a pop-up shop at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship in New York City from Super Bowl week through the end of February. Within four hours, the blazer’s Kickstarter campaign backers had pledged more than $15,000. Early backers had access to exclusive pricing and curated packages of blazers and Mizzen+Main’s signature dress shirts. The campaign will run through March 6.
“When we set out to reinvent the men’s dress shirt, people said it couldn’t be done. Thirteen dress shirts later … we continue to demonstrate there is a better way,” said Web Smith, Mizzen+Main co-founder and CMO. “Now we’re taking that same innovative approach to updating the blazer and making it a better fit for today’s modern, athletic man. We’ve evolved classic design by utilizing technical fabrics to build a blazer that performs just as well as the person wearing it.”
Mizzen+Main, an innovative men’s lifestyle brand, is redefining high-tech fashion with its collection of American made men’s modern dress shirts, henleys and a newly launched blazer all made of proprietary athletic-inspired, moisture-wicking fabric. Co-founded by Kevin Lavelle and Web Smith, the brand’s innovative approach to design is just one example of its “tradition evolved” approach to business.
