Modern Tots was founded in 2009 as an online store that is focused on a designer oriented collection of modern kids furniture and toys. They have developed a reputation for high quality and innovative products since that time. According to the company, their move into exclusive products has made it necessary to look into new marketing avenues to showcase their new products. They will show their exclusive products along with the popular brands that are sold on their website,, such as P’kolino, Sprout and Sodura.

According to the company, marketing an exclusive line of children’s furniture has added some new challenges to their business model. A traditional ecommerce store has the advantage of the brands that they sell doing some of the marketing for them. But, when you start trying to run ads for a product on Google’s Adwords and their is no-one already searching for that product, then that marketing channel doesn’t really work. One of the brands on Modern Tots that is very popular is P’kolino, and many of their products has over 1000 searches on the individual item names.
