MODL Quickly Doubles Crowdfunding Goal for its Revolutionary Multi-functional Bottle on Kickstarter
Featuring interchangeable attachments, MODL is the water bottle reimagined as an adaptable, collapsible tool that can be used to harness water in a variety of ways from taking a shower outdoors, to purifying water and much more.
ATLANTA, April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MODL, the first multi-functional 'Utility Bottle' for any adventure, has more than doubled its crowdfunding goal on Kickstarter.
"We're so excited that the Kickstarter community shares our vision for the utility bottle," said MODL Co-founder Zack Leitz. "MODL is made for adventurers looking to raise the bar on their gear and Kickstarter has been an excellent way to connect with them. Our goal is to include as many people as possible in this journey to create better gear and a better world."
MODL, which holds 33 ounces (1 liter) of liquid, also comes with MODs – which are interchangeable attachments that bring unique functionality to the bottle:
- 'Rinse' (with the shower MOD), which is perfect for outdoor showers, rinsing off gear, friends, and four-legged explorers
- 'Flow' (similar to the Camelbak hose), which allows for hands-free drinking while hiking, biking, relaxing in a hammock, etc.
- 'Pure' (water filter MOD), which allows users to drink from any clear, running freshwater source so you can stay outside.
- 'Go' (sports cap MOD), which allows easy drinking while on the go.
MODL can also be collapsed into a bowl to feed your dog while on a hike (the dog only touches the external part of the bottle). It can also be used as a 'fan' by adding the Rinse MODL and squeezing it and as a hot-water bottle to keep warm in a sleeping bag in cold temperatures.
MODL is also:
- Collapsible
- Easy to attach to a bag, branch, or bike - no carabiner needed with detachable loops.
- Double-ended for better cleaning
- Dishwasher-safe
- Versatile and customizable by attaching different caps and loops (MODs)
- BPA free, hygienic and hypoallergenic
- Designed with flat strips that run down its side, so it doesn't roll away
Zitron developed the idea for MODL (its name created by merging the words 'modular' and 'bottle') with fellow co-founders Zack Leitz and Justin Guld during a camping trip they took in their final year of college.
"We each lugged our heavy, clunky water bottles with us deep into the forest and up the mountain, and all they could do was hold water," he said. "We wanted a bottle that could do more than the traditional adventure essential, one that could match and enhance our adventure, so we embarked on this journey to create MODL – the first utility bottle."
