I had a really heavy slam in practice that made it a little bit gnarly, but I was so happy to put a run down and get a silver medal — stoked. Jamie Anderson
Aspen, Colo (PRWEB) January 25, 2015
Four-time X Games Slopestyle gold medalist and Monster Energy teammate Jamie Anderson added another medal to her collection today, earning second place in the hotly contested Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle event at X Games Aspen 2015.
Anderson, who entered the event with nine X Games medals overall under her belt, overcame a tough fall on a backside 900 in practice to put down an exciting run full of amplitude and style, including a gap to layback on the Jeep wallride (she was one of the only women to incorporate this difficult feature into her line), as well as a clean frontside 720, and finishing it all off with a massive Cab 720 of the final 70-foot kicker.
“It was awesome today, said Jamie Anderson. I had a really heavy slam in practice that made it a little bit gnarly, but I was so happy to put a run down and get a silver medal — stoked.”
During the three-run finals session in which the best score counted, the California-native and reigning Olympic slopestyle champion earned a score of 91.33 for the second-place podium spot and her impressive tenth X Games medal to date.
