This is what skateboarding is - Copenhagen Open! Matt Berger Monster Energy Professional Skateboarder
Corona, Calif (PRWEB) July 30, 2015
Come for the contest, stay for the amazing skate spots. That’s exactly what an international delegation of Monster Energy skateboard team riders did for a full week during this summer’s CPH Open in the skateboard wonderland known as Copenhagen, Denmark.
You can now relive the action in a new HD video feature featuring Monster Energy’s Rune Glifberg, Sam Beckett, Tim Zom, Nassim Guammaz, Matt Berger, Peter Ramondetta, Raven Tershy, Juan Carlos Aliste, Stavros Razis and Ishod Wair – now live on Monster Energy’s YouTube channel and the Thrasher Magazine website.
“There’s just no other city like it. It’s so refreshing not having to drive to a spot,” said Monster’s Matt Berger on a tour of epic Copenhagen skate spots, including the Dream Spot, Meat Packing, White Banks, and the recently finished Triangle skate plaza.
Highlights of the video include an epic session at the legendary Fælledparken bowl, co-designed by Copenhagen local and Monster Energy team rider Glifberg. Witness the heated session, crowned by Tershy’s humungous backside grab over the channel that had the crowd going bonkers.
“It didn’t even look possible,” said his teammate Beckett, while Razis agreed: “You can see it in the video, but if you are there, you’re just scared to even go into it!”
Follow the Monster crew as they explore and shred skate spots around the city, with plenty of heavy-hitting lines courtesy of Guammaz and ultra-technical handrail moves by Berger. Also take in some alternative angles of contest highlights that went down at seven spots during three days in front of thousands of stoked spectators.
And how about some “Ring of Fire” best trick action with Wair flipping through a flaming hoop at night? Or an exclusive handrail session at Copenhagen’s time-honored amusement park, Tivoli? By that time you’ll know why CPH Open is the real “skater’s contest” that no pro wants to miss.
Or as Matt Berger puts it: “This is what skateboarding is – Copenhagen Open!”
