Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) July 15, 2016 -- Officially partnering with the first ever Nitro World Games, Monster Energy proudly announces its team of athletes headed to Salt Lake City this week for Nitro World Games taking place on Saturday, July 16 at 5 pm (MDT) at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City with live coverage on NBC.
Created by Nitro Circus CEO and Creative Director Michael Porra and extreme sports icon Travis Pastrana, the Nitro World Games will host the best athletes and biggest stars from across the globe in action sports’ most exciting disciplines to include freestyle motocross (FMX), BMX, Skate, inline and scooter, featuring new disciplines, formats, tricks and all new massive ramps along with a Nitro-invented live scoring format to ensure fans can engage with the competition every single minute of the Games. Monster Energy will feature Monster Energy girls and sampling.
Coined as the “biggest event in the history of action sports” by founders Porra and Pastrana, the Nitro World Games is expected to be a riveting three-hour experience airing live during prime time on NBC.
Ready for Nitro World Games the Monster Energy team is stacked with a large number of athletes earning coveted invites, but only the top eight athletes in each discipline will advance to the actual Nitro World Games on July 16.

In FMX Josh Sheehan is definitely the one to watch and will also be competing in FMX Best Trick. Teammate Taka Higashino will also compete in both, and Alastair Sayer will compete in FMX. Also be on the look out for Harry Bink who is new to Monster Energy in FMX Best Trick.
In BMX Triple Hit the following athletes will represent Monster Energy Pat Casey, Zack Warden, Andy Buckworth, Kevin Peraza, Colton Satterfield, Alex Coleborn, James Foster and Colton Walker and Brian Fox from Monster Army. As for BMX Best Trick Pat Casey, Vince Byron, Colton Satterfield, Zack Warden, Andy Buckworth and Brian Fox will have the chance to advance to the final eight.
In Skate Best Tricks Trey Wood and Jake Brown will be gunning for the podium.
