Monster Energy’s Alex Beaulieu-Marchand and Ferdinand Dahl Take Silver and Bronze in Men’s Ski Slopestyle at X Games Aspen 2019
ASPEN, Colo. (PRWEB) January 28, 2019 -- Monster Energy’s Alex Beaulieu-Marchand (ABM) and Ferdinand Dahl Take Silver and Bronze in Men’s Ski Slopestyle at X Games Aspen 2019.
On the fourth and final day of X Games Aspen 2019, one of the most anticipated events of the entire contest went off in front of a sprawling and excited crowd who got to witness some of the highest level of slopestyle skiing ever seen during X Games.
Coming into today’s Ski Slopestyle finals hot off his silver medal win in Ski Big Air the night before, ABM scooped up his second medal of the X Games.
ABM, who is known for his technical rail prowess, stomped his first run and earned a 92.66. His run included a 450 to pretzel 270 off into a switch 630 disaster on the rails and on the jumps spun a switch right side double cork 900, into a double bio 1260, into a switch triple cork 1260. This run was super clean and full of technical trickery that secured a second place medal.
“What a weekend! Two medals in two days, so hyped,” said Alex Beaulieu-Marchand. “It’s been a really big six days doing both events, but I am so incredibly happy that I was able to put the almost run in that I wanted today and the two jumps I wanted last night.”
Fellow Monster Energy teammate Dahl earned a bronze medal by stomping his first run of three. He sent a smooth and stylish run that included; a front swap 270 and switch 450’s both ways on the rails. On the jumps, he spun a double bio 1260 into two switch1440’s on the last two booters.
“This was such a fun contest, the boys threw down, and the course was solid,” said Dahl after the event.
