(TSX:MM / LSE AIM:MM) Mood Media, the world’s leading provider of audio visual system solutions for businesses, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Hard Rock “Rocksino” in Northfield, OH. Technomedia, a premiere innovation subsidiary of Mood Media that specializes in creating sophisticated audio and visual experiences, collaborated with Hard Rock to design and install in-depth media systems throughout the $268 million, one-of-a-kind facility.

The 200,000 square foot dining, gaming, and entertainment complex is a first for Hard Rock. It features more than 2,200 Video Lottery Terminals, multiple restaurants and bars, an 1,800 seat live venue, and a comedy club. Technomedia’s dedicated studio team began project work with Hard Rock and general contractors in August 2012, breaking ground in January 2013.

The systems installed in the media-oriented facility are impressive: more than 125 digital screens – including three large video walls, two “memorabilia columns,” and multiple exterior-facing screens – display dynamic digital content created by Technomedia. The screens feature music videos, live event information, music memorabilia and trivia, wayfinding, and gaming tie-ins, setting a fun, upbeat, and energetic atmosphere throughout the facility.

With Cleveland’s rock-n-roll heritage, Hard Rock knew the complex had to feature state-of-the-art live music and entertainment venues. The Technomedia team complemented the overall design, implementing site-specific sound systems, lighting, and stage and theater elements for these spaces, including portable equipment racks which can be used to shuttle components between on-site venues. The facility also features seven mounted equipment racks.

Other recent Hard Rock installations for Technomedia include the design and implementation of two cafés with live event stages in an historic building in Glasgow, Scotland, and integrated media systems in Nice, France. Technomedia used its expanded resource pool of Mood talent headquartered in the UK and spanning throughout all European markets to deliver these projects. The global experience innovator provided installation and system tuning, and will provide ongoing support and service for these locations. Technomedia engaged with its Mood team to source locally for system components, eliminating shipping delays and minimizing overall costs. Four more Hard Rock locations are scheduled to open across Europe in 2014.
