Inc. 500 Bumper Company Grants Customers Online Access to Unreleased Product Prototypes

The Proto Shop lets you browse unreleased Project Files, fresh from the designers of our R&D shop.

Since many of our customers are serious DIY enthusiasts, we thought: why not let them purchase our team’s favorite working prototypes for a lower price than our traditional products?

MOVE Bumpers, the Inc. 500 company known for its flagship DIY bumper kits, is pleased to announce the launch of its Proto Shop. The Proto Shop allows customers to shop never-before-seen products (called “Project Files”) which are still in the mid-to-end stages of development, otherwise known as working prototypes. The idea behind the Proto Shop is to allow truck build enthusiasts to get their hands on the newest designs before they hit the market.

MOVE founder and CEO, Jim Steen, explains the idea behind the Proto Shop:

“Our product designers are always coming up with awesome, new prototypes, but it can take 12+ months before we perfect and release them to the public. Since many of our customers are serious DIY enthusiasts, we thought: why not let them purchase our team’s favorite working prototypes for a lower price than our traditional products?” he said.

From a quality perspective, Proto Shop products are in-line with the rest of MOVE’s product offering. The key difference is that Proto Shop products are newer and open to higher levels of modification.

“We want our customers to let us know what they love, and what they would recommend, if anything, for the next iteration. Our customers are out there getting their hands dirty, and they deserve to have a say in what we come out with next.”

So far, the Proto Shop has two Project Files live on the website: the PF-555V1 and the PF-556V1. The PF-555V1 is a lightweight, sturdy tubular front bumper, and PF-556V1 is the corresponding rear bumper. According to MOVE’s website, these bumpers are designed to look sharp and clean while maintaining optimum tire/vehicle clearance. The designs are noticeably different from MOVE’s current DIY Bumper Kits.
