Moyenda M. Knapp Joins Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment Practice in Chicago
CHICAGO (PRWEB) July 25, 2019 -- Moyenda M. Knapp has joined the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as of counsel in the Labor & Employment Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Knapp was a partner at MWH Law Group LLP.
Knapp defends clients before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and in state and federal courts, against claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She has handled claims under the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act (IWPCA). Knapp conducts workplace investigations. Knapp represents claim and plan administrators, welfare disability plans, and employers from long-term disability claims arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Knapp also has experience in commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation and provides employment advice and counselling.

Knapp earned her A.B. from Dartmouth College and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She has been an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law since 2005.
