Three pieces of music by three of the world’s finest composers with a common thread are on the program when Live Arts Maryland continues its musical season on March 7 (7:30 pm) and 8 (8 pm) at St. Anne’s Church. Conducted by J. Ernest Green, the Annapolis Chorale Chamber Chorus and members of Annapolis Chamber Orchestra will make the most of the historic church’s space and acoustics for Mozart’s Solemn Vespers and Anton Bruckner’s Requiem. Organist Larry Molinaro will join the orchestra for CPE Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in E major.

Guest artists for these two concerts are soprano Kimberly Christie, who, along with tenor David Merrill and baritone Nathan Wyatt, just appeared in Live Arts Maryland’s “Once Upon a Mattress.” Mezzo Elizabeth Merrill returns for her second chamber concert with the group.

Says Mr. Green, “The three pieces on this program have a common musical thread that unites them. Mozart’s genius influenced so many composers after him and, although the Bruckner and CPE Bach pieces were written in different eras, they both reflect Mozart. I’m excited about exploring this music with our audience at St. Anne’s.”

Live Arts Maryland offers free tickets for all students a half-hour before concerts. Students 18 and over must present a valid ID. Adult tickets for both performances are $37/adults, $12/pre-sold students and are on sale now on the Live Arts Maryland website, http://www.liveartsmaryland.org and the Maryland Hall Box Office at 410-280-5640. There is a $3 per-ticket service charge for individual tickets.

The Annapolis Chorale Chamber Chorus is presented by Live Arts Maryland, one of the region’s largest and most active non-profit arts organizations dedicated to enhancing community life by performing and presenting high-quality music and providing music education for all ages.
