My Subscription Addiction asked readers to vote for their favorite boxes, and brands were awarded based on popularity, along with editors’ callouts for new “boxes to watch” following 2017 subscription box trends.

Since 2012, My Subscription Addiction has published more than 10,000 reviews and has witnessed and experienced the growth of the subscription box industry, with new brands establishing a presence and existing brands that desire to enter the subscription box space.
According to a recent study conducted by Hitwise, the subscription box industry has seen an 831% increase in web traffic for subscriptions since 2014; and searches for “subscription boxes” has grown approximately four times since 2014 according to Google Trends.

In addition to this growth in brand participation and consumer interest, there’s increased diversity in the subscription box market, moving beyond beauty boxes and including categories that cover the varied shopping needs of consumers. Subscription box services have allowed consumers to experience a wide-range of brand products, as well as the convenience of consistent, at-your-door service.
Readers voted on boxes at various price points in several categories, including: women’s and men’s fashion, accessories, beauty, meal kits, snacks, fitness, kids, pets and more. In addition, award recipients included a mix of subscription box start-ups along with larger companies, like Sephora and Adidas, sharing the spotlight with the most popular boxes.
