Multipure Products Certified for Emerging Compounds
By certifying their Aquadome and Aquaversa Drinking Water Systems for Standard 401, Multipure offers additional quality guarantees to its customers and Distributors, while strengthening its position as an industry leader in the treatment of drinking water contaminants. Multipure President Zachary Rice comments, “NSF certification for Standard 401 is a tremendous boon for Multipure and for all of the people using and selling our products. This certification joins our already stellar contaminant treatment certifications under NSF Standard 42 for Aesthetic Effects and NSF Standard 53 for Health Effects, and it demonstrates that Multipure continues to lead the way in treating contaminants of today and tomorrow.”
NSF developed Standard 401 for water contaminants of public concern. These contaminants have grown in consumer awareness over recent years, and include items such as prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, herbicides and pesticides, and chemical compounds. Specific examples of these contaminants include estrone (a hormone), ibuprofen (an over-the-counter pain reliever), DEET (a pesticide and insect repellent), and BPA (a chemical compound used in plastics).
Multipure Vice President of Marketing and Certified Water Specialist, Kenton Jones, adds, “The NSF Standard 401 classification contains a variety of contaminants that are only recently entering the public consciousness in regards to their drinking water. By certifying our Aquadome and Aquaversa – two of our most popular Drinking Water Systems – Multipure proudly stands ahead of the curve and offers the protection that modern consumers deserve for their drinking water.”
