Wild & Welsh, Shane Board and The Backdoor Band Top The BEAT100 Original Music Video Chart
(PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- Wild & Welsh scooped yet another top prize of $300 in the BEAT100 Original Music Video Chart for their original song, Age Of Reason. The hugely gifted song-writing duo, who also produce all of their own work, have been a revelation on the popular music video network with music lovers from all around the world voting in their thousands and buying in to what is a fabulous story of success.
Speaking exclusively to BEAT100 News the duo, Wild & Welsh, made up of Rob Wild and Steven Welsh expressed delight at receiving what is their second top award and revealed they will also donate the full cash prize to UK charity, Help For Heroes.
“We knew when we wrote, ‘Age Of Reason’, that it is something special. Its central theme is one of hope in a world filled often with darkness and tragedy - much of which fills our newspapers each day. And in light of the recent Woolwich tragedy, we feel the message within ‘Age of Reason’ is both timely and appropriate.”
The two talents continue to tell BEAT100 the message: “Think for yourself, and importantly, don’t be lead by others. Don’t blame the majority for the wrongdoing of a small minority; don’t blame a religion for the murderous actions of the individual. In the same way, the aggression of a football hooligan is nothing to do with the sport, but rather, the senseless actions of the individual. We are all as one, the Olympics is the proof on every level - the Olympics is a spyglass into what should be.”

Second place in June's hard fought plight for chart success was won by the UK's Shane Board, from Pop4Diabetes, for his fabulous song and video, “Your Day Will Come”. The gifted young song-writer set up ‘Pop4Diabetes' as a vehicle to raise money for a charity set up by his mother to raising awareness of Type 1 Diabetes and collecting funds to help push research into finding a cure.
“I have enjoyed the experience of having my video on BEAT100. Everyone on it has been lovely and I have just been asked to star in a music video for a Swiss band after they saw my own video!” Exclaims Shane. “I have to admit I'm where I am now because of my diabetes diagnosis as it has made me the person I am today and I only do my music because it makes money for Pop4Diabetes. I probably wouldn't have been doing it had it not been of any benefit as my real love is my day job as a web designer and I have worked hard to get it so I now have my own business which I'm very proud of.”
Sony Music have just agreed to manufacture Shane’s next three CD’s and will support him in his mission to raise funds for Pop4Diabetes. Shane's prize money of $200 will also be handed over to his charity.
Finishing in third place and grabbing a $150 cash prize are the Macedonian blues rockers, The Backdoor Band, for their brilliant original song and video ''Na Zadna Vrata''. The four piece band, which consists of Zare Jakimoski (vocals), Aleksandar Markovic (Bass) Nikola Koljusesk (Drums) and Laze Farmakoski (Lead Guitar), performed live across Macedonia as a cover band, but at the beginning of this year, started working on a first solo album and promoting their debut record.
Users of the popular BEAT100 Music Video Network have been quick to show their appreciation with more than a thousand positive comments from the 10,000+ who have viewed the video 'Na Zadna Vrata'.
