Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 07, 2014
myCNAjobs announces its 2nd annual CNA Nursing Scholarship program, recognizing up-and-coming caregivers seeking to grow a career in the nursing field.
"We've built deep relationships with CNA schools over the past couple of years and our CNA scholarship program is a small way for us to give back to our caregiver community," says Brandi Kurtyka, CEO of Chicago-based myCNAjobs. "Many of the schools that we partner with are now offering to match the scholarship, providing an attractive offer for someone seeking to get certified."
myCNAjobs awards the selected applicant with a $250 scholarship, to be used at an accredited CNA program nationwide. Additionally, the myCNAjobs Recruitment Squad identifies local CNA programs that are willing to match the award, doubling it to $500.
The scholarship deadlines for the 2nd annual certified nursing assistant scholarship program are as follows:
-April 2014 CNA Scholarship - submission due March 28
-July 2014 CNA Scholarship - submission due June 27
-October 2014 CNA Scholarship - submission due Sept. 27
To apply, caregivers submit a short essay of 200-400 worlds outlining their motivations for being a caregiver and why they are a good fit for a CNA job.
"We've been touched by the response of this program and the personal stories from the community," adds Kurtyka. "We need more qualified nurse aides entering the workforce and we're thrilled to play a small role in connecting people to the career and into meaningful jobs."
