LAS VEGAS, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- nablet, a leading provider of media processing technologies, announced today that it has released its HDR Konverter SDK at the 2019 NAB Show. HDR Konverter is like a Swiss Army knife for video conditioning. converting RAW video and RGB pictures to a wide variety of output formats. It can convert HDR to SDR and vice versa.
Typical pre-defined use cases are in the conversion tool are HDR-to-SDR or SDR-to-HDR conversions: SDR (sRGB, BT.601, BT.709, BT.2020, etc.) to or from HDR (HLG, PQ, S-Log3, etc.). The processing modes are fully customizable, enabling the SDK to perform these key functions:
- Correcting white balance.
- Correcting wrong combinations of chroma-coordinates and RGB-YUV transform matrix. A typical example would be converting from BT.601 to BT.709 while applying only the YUV-YUV transform matrix, keeping BT.601 chroma primaries unchanged).
- Tuning the look and feel of the output video to meet the needs of the target environment.
"As high dynamic range video becomes more mainstream, HDR Konverter is another example of nablet responding to the needs of content creators and broadcasters," said Sergey Grigoriev, Chief Scientist at nablet. "This SDK integrates into the modular nablet ecosystem to enable fast deployment of applications."
HDR Konverter is available as a command line app and SDK for Windows, macOS and Linux. Additional information is available at http://www.nablet.com/hdr.
nablet will be exhibiting in the Hiscale booth, SU12003, at the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
