National Association of Professional Women Announces Rebecca L. Devillier, Chief Civil Deputy at Evangeline Parish Sherrif's Office, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Devillier is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in local government. As the Chief Civil Deputy at Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, Ms. Devillier, who earned an Associate degree in Accounting from the Louisiana Vocation School, is instrumental when it comes to supervising the staff and numerous activities of the civil section of the Sherriff’s department. She expertly handles the management of parish property taxes, payroll and foreclosures, as well as the criminal division.
Using her exceptional organizational skills as well as her ability to effectively communicate with staff, colleagues and the public, Ms. Devillier routinely processes all civil, noncriminal documents received by the Sheriff’s Office. She is responsible for filing, indexing, preparing and serving all civil papers for service. A dedicated professional, Ms. Devillier constantly strives to elevate the department’s standards and level of service to the residents of Evangeline Parish. “It is my goal to improve the department and create a better work environment,” says Ms. Devillier.
