NAPW Announces Cynthia H. Hartmann, Director, Access and Revenue Cycle Systems at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Cynthia Hartmann has over 30 years of experience in healthcare information systems and held many positions, including software vendor executive, consultant and IT executive in an academic medical center. Her success is due to her strong knowledge of the industry and exceptional skills in strategic planning and communication. Her expertise comes from experience with all facets of IT, such as programming, designing networks, departmental restructuring, internal consulting and directing the support of revenue cycle related products. As a leader, she has successfully refocused struggling teams, led large teams across locations, mentored new managers and has been heavily involved in project management.
“Throughout my career, I have had a passion for process improvement and workflow design,” says Ms. Hartmann, who has a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt designation that has equipped her with the knowledge and tools to better analyze and improve processes.
Ms. Hartmann’s previous positions include Director of Power Works Client Care at Cerner Corporation, Client VP of Consulting Services for Quammen Healthcare Contultants and Director of IT Solutions Strategists at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
