Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Anna Rymko as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in finance. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Anna to our Woman of the Year Circle,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
Ms. Rymko’s deep-seated interest in the exciting, complex and fast-evolving global financial system first developed in graduate school. She became particularly fascinated with how corruption, fraud, money laundering and other financial crimes impact the system on a global scale. Shortly after graduating with her M.B.A., Ms. Rymko took on the challenging role of Vice President, Senior Audit Manager of the Financial Crimes Audit Team at Wells Fargo Bank. There, she manages a team that works tirelessly every day to protect the financial institution from these crimes.
“The most rewarding aspect of my career is helping our company prevent, detect and protect itself and its stakeholders from being exploited by financial criminals. So, besides the very multifaceted, technical nature of my job, there is a higher calling to contribute to the greater society in a positive and meaningful way,” said Ms. Rymko.
Since the appointment of her leadership position, Ms. Rymko has been successful in protecting Wells Fargo Bank from criminals, terrorists and fraudsters seeking to take advantage of the system for illicit purposes. In addition to her outstanding skills in risk management, audit, compliance, project management and leadership, she credits her career success to her dedicated team of skilled professionals.
“The skill I rely on the most is the ability to identify, develop, nurture and surround myself with strong, talented people. You are only as strong and successful as the talent that surrounds you,” she said.
