National Association of Professional Women Inducts Laura Stark, CPA, Manager at Ganze & Company, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

Laura Stark is selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

It’s always a pleasure to see how relieved clients are when they know that they can rely on us to take care of them.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Laura Stark as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in accounting. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Laura into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

Laura Stark has been involved in the accounting industry since 1980 when she started working as a secretary at a CPA firm. Encouraged by her managers to further pursue her education, she eventually earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management with an emphasis in Accounting from Sonoma State University and became a licensed CPA in 1991. In 2000, she became a partner in that firm.

In 2007, Ms. Stark joined Ganze & Company, a CPA firm that provides tax preparation and accounting services for individuals and businesses. In her role as manager, Ms. Stark supervises other accountants, helping them find effective and timely solutions for clients, no matter their tax or accounting issues. “We also help bookkeepers solve problems, including issues with QuickBooks, and business owners to produce and understand financial statements for their company,” she said. “It’s always a pleasure to see how relieved clients are when they know that they can rely on us to take care of them.”

Although her skills in accounting, financial statements, Quickbooks, tax preparation and planning are primarily focused on small business and individual taxpayers, Ms. Stark is especially interested in the unique accounting and tax needs of homeowners’ associations.
