Angela Hooper-Menifeld selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to recognize Angela with this important honor. Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Angela Hooper-Menifield as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to recognize Angela with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Angela Hooper-Menifield began her career with the United States Department of Agriculture, AMS, Cotton & Tobacco Program in 1989. In the 25 years since, she has held tours of duty in multiple cities in California, Missouri, Washington, DC, and Tennessee across various branches and staffs.

In May 2006, Ms. Hooper-Menifield was appointed Associate Deputy Administrator of the Cotton & Tobacco Program. In this role, she is responsible for the operations of multiple divisions, including grading, quality assurance, standardization and engineering, market news, information technology, as well as staff personnel in the areas of contracting, economics, instrument quality and administrative.

“I represent the agency in establishing and maintaining relationships with producer, trade, governmental and related groups. I provide for the allocation, control and efficient use of resources assigned to the Cotton & Tobacco Program,” said Ms. Hooper-Menifield.

These resources include the funds of approximately $60 million annually, personnel totaling over 100 permanent and 4,000 seasonal employees and property including ten classing offices across nine states, Tobacco Grading and a cotton field headquarters complex in Memphis, TN.

In addition to her remarkable contributions to the USDA, Ms. Hooper-Menifield is an Independent Beachbody Coach, an Independent Agent at IHC Financial Group, Inc. and a John Maxwell Certified Independent Certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker.
